Text that says 'Coming Up!' with a white water lily flower behind it.

Consider joining us for five days and five nights for our nature immersion retreat LoonSong ~ Heart of the Sacred, as we gather our most precious resources ~ our time and attention ~ and offer them at the Altar of the Holy Presence of Being that is our True Nature and the True Nature of All Things.

This retreat is simple. It is a Devotion to Presence. A Devotion to Existence Itself.

The Adirondack Mountains are actually not mountains at all, but a massive uplifted dome of ancient rock, over 1 billion years old, older than most life on earth as we know it.

These ancient, dense, living forests and vast abundance of lakes, wetlands, and streams give rise to particularly unique and diverse ecological systems.

Wind through spruce and fir. Water moves over stone, Loon calls echo across the lake. Silence of Being feels Viscerally Alive.

The Transmission of Holy Presence is Clear and Direct. We Remember.

All that is required is a deep sincerity of heart, a body that is willing to move and be moved, the rhythm of the song and the drum, and the being with a land most ancient, wild, protected, and Alive.

Student Reflections

“You are an incredible human being who helped me in more ways than I could ever describe. When we met, I wasn’t sure I could find my way out of the pain I was in - you helped me find my voice so I could sing to the light!”

— Lauren Cutuli

student of 1Ă—1 music mentorship, song & chant leader training, & kirtan band camp

“Emily’s devotion to offering her spiritual, musical, and wellness practices across the Louisville community has impacted me to my core. She serves as a vessel of hope to anyone looking for more depth and connection in a modern era that has devalued both. I cannot recommend Emily enough as a guide, a teacher, and a voice that invites us all closer into ourselves and unites us intimately as shared beings. Do not hesitate to engage with her as a creative force for good in this world. Her intentions are as pure as her talent.”

— Jeff Tomczek, LCPA Therapist & Personal Growth Coach

kirtan and yoga student

“Emily shares songs of healing and liberation. That’s exactly what has happened and continues to unfold for me. My time at the Heartsong Shala has been more valuable than most of the talk therapy I have received. Traditional therapy has been useful for understanding the narrative around my trauma. This goes deeper and brings Presence to the pain, awakens the dormant, asleep, repressed parts of ourselves, invites them to expression. The fruits of this practice, for me, are greater peace and freedom.”

— Dan Marstin, Massage Therapist

student of Heartsong 1 & 2, 1Ă—1 music mentorship, song & chant leader training, & kirtan band camp
